‘Yuko Sumida Jackson
Born in Kumamoto on 5th August 1966
After taking one-way trip to L.A. by herself, she started her career as a dancer there and took part in the world tours of Michael Jackson, Babyface etc. She is one of the Japanese dancers who has achieved global success. She has appeared as a dancer in the video clips of famous artists, including Prince, Paula Abdul, Sheila E., as well as in many TV shows. Also, she has shown her talent as a model in commercials for companies such as Thierry Muglerfs Paris collections, Cathay Pacific, IBM, Gunze etc. Currently, she is providing lessons on Awakening, an exercise blended with traditional Yoga and choreographic essence, in the Shiki Theatre Company, Aoyama Dancing Square, workshops, private classes etc.
